Turboprop action at Birmingham

January 3, 2016 By bernard.montrel@gmail.com

If you’re apprehensive about flying in propeller-powered planes, you might want to look away now.
A plane spotter filmed various turboprops landing in Birmingham and other UK airports while battling against winds as strong as 50 miles an hour – and the highlights he posted this week are nerve-wracking to watch.
As the footage shows, courageous regional pilots from around Europe including Britain, Ireland, and Belgium, seriously struggled to land in the strong winds, often swaying heavily as they made their descent and sometimes touching down one wheel before the other.
No doubt the bumpy ride would leave even the most seasoned travelers on the edge of their seat.
