The union representing Air Transat pilots has reached a tentative contract agreement with the airline that averts the possibility of a strike during spring break.
Air Line Pilots Association leaders and Air Transat management reached the five-year agreement Tuesday, which will now be sent to the union’s membership for a ratification vote.
Air Transat pilots were positioned to strike as early as Feb. 29, the start of spring break in Quebec.
The pilots have been without a contract since their collective agreement expired on April 30, 2015.
The ratification vote is expected to take place in March.
