Minnesota-based carrier Sun Country Airlines began daily nonstop service Wednesday between Denver and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
“The Mile High City ranks as the top destination for travel from the Twin Cities,” said Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day in a statement. “We are excited to welcome Sun Country to Denver and offer our travelers an ever growing number of airline options.”
The daily flight, announced in November, brings Sun Country’s service area to 36 destinations, according to the airline.
The new service also makes Minneapolis-St. Paul the first destination to be served by six airlines from DIA, according to the airport in a news release.
The daily flight departs Minneapolis at 10:20 a.m. and arrives at DIA at 11:25 a.m. The return flight departs DIA at 12:15 p.m. and arrives in Minneapolis at 3:10 p.m. local time.
From Minneapolis, passengers can connect on Sun Country to Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York.
