A Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration HZ-AK25 performing flight SV-116 (dep Jun 29th) from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) with 144 people on board and dangerous goods (mainly gasoline), was enroute at FL370 about 20nm south of Brussels (Belgium) when the crew decided to divert to Brussels reporting smoke in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely on Brussels’ runway 25R about 23 minutes after leaving FL370 and taxied to the apron.
The airline reported a precautionary landing in Brussels due to smoke in cabin.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Brussels about 21 hours after landing.
