Off-Duty Flight Attendant tries to commit suicide on British Airways flight

May 13, 2016 By bernard.montrel@gmail.com

A British Airways jet was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Iceland in the early hours of Tuesday morning when a passenger tried to commit suicide in one of the toilets.
The double-decker Airbus A380 was flying from Los Angeles to London. Several passengers on board were film producers, journalists and PR people on their way to the Cannes film festival.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, there were various reports that the passenger in question had either slashed his wrists or taken pills. In any event, the man was taken to hospital upon landing in Iceland and discharged on the same today.
The incident delayed the arrival of the jet in London by two hours.
