Montreal’s Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport was hit with a power outage that caused some delays at the security line.
The power went down around 5:35 p.m. on Friday, airport spokesperson Anne Marcotte said. Several backup generators restored some power a few minutes later, but computers had to be rebooted and security scanning machines recalibrated.
This caused delays at the security line and at baggage carousels, Marcotte said. No flights were delayed and customs and immigration were not affected, she added.
The power was fully restored at 6:05 p.m.
Friday evenings are a busy time for the international airport.
