An Etihad Airbus A340-600, registration A6-EHF performing flight EY-38 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), was enroute at FL350 about 190nm west of Munich (Germany) when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL110 and decided to divert to Munich. The aircraft dumped fuel, the crew advised Munich Approach again of a pressurization problem and subsequently landed safely on Munich’s runway 08R about one hour after leaving FL350.
A passenger reported the passenger oxygen masks were not released. About 15 minutes after the descent the flight crew announced that guest services would continue. Initially the plan was to return to Paris, but was changed to divert to Munich. The passengers are now estimated to depart Munich later in the evening of Apr 17th, details are not yet clear (at Apr 17th 17:00L local time).
