Emirates Airlines upgrades Narita service with Airbus A380

January 12, 2017 By bernard.montrel@gmail.com

Dubai-based airline Emirates has said it will resume its Airbus A380 service to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.
The carrier said the March 26 launch would follow the deployment of the A380 on its Moscow route and the coming service to Johannesburg.
Emirates’ daily Narita flights were previously operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER.
The new three-class A380 will offer 489 seats, including 14 in first class, 76 in business class and 399 in economy.
This will boost capacity by 135 seats.
Flight EK318 will depart from Dubai at 2:40am and arrive in Narita at 5:35pm.
The return flight will depart Narita on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10pm and arrive in Dubai at 4:15am the next day.
On Tuesday and Wednesday it will leave Narita at 9:20pm and arrive in Dubai at 3:35am the next day.
Emirates said it will offer first and business class passengers specialised menu options during the 11-hour service as well as lounge services at Narita airport.
The carrier currently serves more than 40 destinations with the A380 and has been its largest customer, with 89 in its fleet and 53 on order.
