A Skywest Canadair CRJ-440 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N8942A performing flight OO-7382 from Casper,WY to Salt Lake City,UT (USA), was descending towards Salt Lake City when the aircraft sustained a lightning strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Salt Lake City’s runway 34R.
The FAA reported the aircraft received damage to a gear door.
The aircraft is still on the ground 26 hours after landing.
