British Airways will consider purchasing some Bombardier CSeries jets, the CEO of International Airlines Group told an Irish newspaper last week.
In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph, Willie Walsh said the airline will “definitely” consider the long-delayed jets from the Montreal-based company (TSE: BBD).
Walsh told the paper that the airline “will definitely look at it, and we have looked at it.”
The CSeries, specifically the larger CS300, was considered several years ago but no jets were purchased because their entry into service was too late for British Airways needs, Walsh said.
“I’ve seen the aircraft and I’ve flown the simulator personally,” Walsh said. “The CS100 could be an option for us at London City Airport.”
