AS-862 has APU problem and diverts to Honolulu

An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N597AS performing flight AS-862 from Kahului,HI to Portland,OR (USA) with 152 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 400nm northwest of Kahului when the crew decided to turn around and divert to Honolulu,HI (USA) due to a malfunction of the auxiliary power unit (APU). The aircraft landed safely in Honolulu about 80 minutes later.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 reached Portland with a delay of 6 hours.
