An Allegiant Boeing 757-200, registration N902NV performing flight G4-500 from Las Vegas,NV to Indianapolis,IN (USA) with 202 passengers and 7 crew, was in the initial climb out of Las Vegas’ runway 25R when the crew requested a runway inspection of the departure runway stating they suspected they had lost the tread of one of the right hand main tyres. Another aircraft had already been cleared for takeoff, after becoming airborne the crew reported they did indeed see the tread on the runway. The Allegiant Boeing stopped the climb at 15,000 feet, burned off fuel and returned to Las Vegas for a safe landing on runway 25R about 105 minutes after departure.
