Allegiant Air will expand its presence in Puerto Rico, announcing two new destinations from San Juan.
The nonstop flights to Cincinnati and Pittsburgh will give Allegiant a total of three nonstop routes from San Juan. The expansion comes even before Allegiant’s first flights from the city. Allegiant’s inaugural service from San Juan – announced just last month – begins Dec. 14, when the carrier begins flying between San Juan and Orlando’s Sanford airport.
Allegiant’s expanded San Juan service is part of a seven-route expansion that also brings two new routes to Austin, Pittsburgh and St. Petersburg, Fla.
“We’re very excited to add several new routes to the Allegiant route map today,” Jude Bricker, Allegiant’s chief operating officer, says in a statement. “These new nonstop flights are launching just in time for our travelers to start planning their winter travel – whether they are flying to see friends and family or vacationing to one of our sunny destinations this holiday season.”
