An Air Koryo Tupolev TU-204, registration P-632 performing flight JS-151 from Pyongyang (North Korea) to Beijing (China), was climbing through 9100 meters out of Pyongyang when the crew reported smoke in the cabin and diverted to Shenyang (China) for a safe landing on runway 24 about 25 minutes later. Attending emergency services found no trace of fire, heat or smoke.
Chinese Authorities reported the aircraft diverted because of smoke in the cabin. However, nothing abnormal was found after landing.
A replacement TU-204 registration P-633 was dispatched to Shenyang, continued the flight and reached Beijing with a delay of 5.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Shenyang about 15.5 hours after landing.
