An Air Inuit de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GXAI performing flight 3H-850 from Kuujjuaq,QC (Canada) to Nuuk (Greenland) with 30 people on board, was enroute at FL250 over the Labrador Sea about 400nm northeast of Kuujjuaq when the crew noticed the hydraulic system #2 was losing fluid, declared emergency and returned to Kuujjuaq, where the aircraft landed safely about 2 hours later.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found an O-ring on the engine driven pump was damaged and leaked oil. The pump was replaced.
