Air Canada E-190 suffers hydraulic leak and failure

An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-190, registration C-FLWH performing flight AC-709 from New York La Guardia,NY (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada), was enroute when the crew received indication the #1 engine driven hydraulic pump (engine CF34) had failed and also spotted a slow hydraulic leak in the #1 system. The crew requested priority and continued for a safe landing on Toronto’s runway 24L, emergency services inspected the aircraft before the aircraft taxied to the apron.
