Interesting, this could be a political move to either force Russian airlines to register there airplanes in Russia or just to piss of the US (which would make me love this action). But maybe Russia did actually find something wrong with the 737.
interesting and is a hit down..
Sebastien, i´m very interested on Russia lately in special because a close friend of me that will immigrate to here fly next days from Moscow SVO. The person has acquired study visa and will live in my home for some time and intends to stay here permanently.
There was a problem with the rudder on the 100 and 200 srs 737 but this was mended during the 200 production run. I have never heard of any rudder problems on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 900 737s.
it is all political and what they don’t realize is the further damage they are doing to their own economy which is on the rocks as it is. When things start to get really bad in the civil aviation industr in Russia the government will step in and nationalize the industry and create another Communist style Aeroflot.
You are wrong Bill, the 737 had PCU problems on the classic as well. Actually, of the 3 accidents/incidents that have been caused by the 737 PCU unit only one was on a -100/-200 series, the two others where on the Classic series.
